To my opinion the theory of relativity has created a mathematical theory, which can be understood only by highly specialised mathematicians. However I believe that there are many people who intend to get familiar with this field without a high theoretical training. In other words it seems to be convenient to consider the theory of relativity using the most simple mathematical apparatus, the Euclidean or Riemannian and pseudo-Euclidean and pseudo-Riemannian spaces tackled by the classical analysis, and when necessary, some new apparatus, to explain this carefully.
