He personally and with sheer cunningness captured the German General Von Rundstedt™s orders of the "Battle of the Bulge"; thus, bringing this very important war action by the enemy to the immediate attention of the U.S. Army high command. His ingenuity and daring actions were the major instrumental parts in preventing the surrender of the entire U.S. 394th Infantry Regiment.
