That project likely would’ve taken roughly 4-8 weeks and if a team of people were hired to build that solution, it would cost tens of thousands of dollars per week in the US vs the 1-1,5 business days that it took me to build a prototype.
You might be thinking, “well, you probably have a lot of experience with the Power Platform and build these types of solutions all the time.” I can tell you that while I do work with these tools quite a bit today and often do projects, presentations and demos involving these products, at that time I only dabbled with the tools. I had maybe 2 Power App solution under my belt and a handful of Power Automate solutions - before it was called Power Automate - so I wouldn’t say by any means that I was an expert with these tools at the time. This real-world example should illustrate the power of the Power Platform and I only mentioned two of the apps so far!
