Название: Digital Filter Design using Python for Power Engineering Applications: An Open Source Guide Автор: Shivkumar Venkatraman Iyer Издательство: Springer Год: 2020 Страниц: 201 Язык: английский Формат: pdf (true), epub Размер: 17,7 MB
Breaks down signal processing theory into simple, understandable language for practicing engineers.
This book is an in-depth description on how to design digital filters. The presentation is geared for practicing engineers, using open source computational tools, while incorporating fundamental signal processing theory. The author includes theory as-needed, with an emphasis on translating to practical application. The book describes tools in detail that can be used for filter design, along with the steps needed to automate the entire process.
It is important to note that NumPy and Matplotlib are very comprehensive topics on their own, and this chapter will merely provide a brief introduction on NumPy and Matplotlib. It is advisable that the reader has basic familiarity with the Python programming language and some of the basic constructs. There are many reference books for Python programming. Additionally, there are several free and paid tutorials online that can be completed in a few hours to attain a basic level of comfort with Python programming.
All programming will be done using Python and associated packages. Why Python? Python is an easy to use high-level interpreted language that is rapidly gaining in popularity especially for scientific purposes. Along with core Python, we will be using associated packages such as NumPy (Numerical Python extensions), SciPy (Scientific Python) and Matplotlib that are also built using Python. With this array of packages that are all free and open source and can be used with Python programming, we have end-to-end solutions—design, analysis, implementation, simulation and verification.
Breaks down signal processing theory into simple, understandable language for practicing engineers; Provides readers with a highly-practical introduction to digital filter design; Uses open source computational tools, while incorporating fundamental signal processing theory; Describes examples of digital systems in engineering and a description of how they are implemented in practice; Includes case studies where filter design is described in depth from inception to final implementation.
