Книга, которую вы держите в руках, эпохальна. Для такой науки, как этномикология, её значение можно сравнить только с книгой Уоссонов «Грибы, Россия и история». Обе эти работы поражают своей параллельностью. Уверен, что Джерри и Джули Браун не отдают себе в полной мере отчёт, насколько эта параллельность всеобъемлюща, даже учитывая тот факт, как книги временами контрастны. Первая написана супругами Уоссон, вторая — супругами Браун. Создатели обоих трудов не являются микологами: авторы «Грибов, России и истории»— банкир и врач, «Психоделических Евангелий» — антрополог и психотерапевт. Обе книги составлены в виде дневника, путевого журнала, который ведёт читателя от места к месту, от события к событию, от мысли к мысли. Но если книга Уоссонов открывает эпоху этномикологии, то книга Браунов утверждает её. Работа Уоссонов избыточна, сыра, тяжеловесна и часто противоречива; «продраться» через неё неподготовленному читателю местами просто нереально. Книга Браунов легка, тонка, выверена и логична, и понимание изложенного в ней материала доступно любому интересующемуся данной тематикой. | |
