Robert is a past president of the Chicago Civil War Round Table,current vice president of the Salt Creek Civil War Round Table and is a member of three others in the Chicago area. He is a fellow of the Company of Military Historians and is an associate member of the Sons of Union Veterans. Robert has edited/authored six books, including The Soldier's View: The Civil War Art of Keith Rocco (Military History Press, Berkeley, 2004).
