The ABAQUS is a general-purpose finite element simulation package used for mainly numerically solving a wide variety of design engineering problems, however, its application to simulate the dynamic structures within the civil engineering domain is highly complicated. Therefore, this book aims to present specific complicated and puzzling challenges encountered for application of the Finite Element Method (FEM) in solving the problems regarding Structural Dynamics by using ABAQUS software, which can fully utilize this method in complex simulation and analysis. Various chapters of this book are demonstrating the process for modeling and analysis of impenetrable problems through simplified step by step illustration with presenting screenshots from software in each part/step and showing graphs.
The development of subroutines for ABAQUS software is one of the prominent features of this software, which allows the program to be customized for solving a specific problem. The extensive range of solutions for addressing the specific problems and challenges using subroutines, along with a simple and understandable interface, has made the ABAQUS package an extremely useful tool for complex numerical analysis since the default options available in the ABAQUS software are not capable to meet all the needs of users.
The ABAQUS package is capable to provide various customized options and tools to meet the requirements of the users with the aid of the FORTRAN programming code (which is the foundation of several numbers of computing software such as ABAQUS, ANSYS, and NASTRAN).
